I installed the Ref 8602cfx in all four doors. My truck (2011 F150) has the Sony audio with nav. For some reason the speakers sound like they are playing the bass to loud and they sound distorted. It sounds like they are hitting to hard if that makes any sense. I put dynamat around all the speakers and alittle on the door skins. The bass level is about 2-3 clicks up from the middle on the radio. I used the harness adapters to make the speaker connections. The stock Sony speakers seem to sound better without the highs. Any ideas.

The bass is hardly even up from the middle. If I turn it down any more it sounds bass less.

I have them in my xlt F&R they sound great!

You will need to adjust the bass and treble after installing new speakers. Doesn't surprise me that they put out more bass than the factory ones.
