Default Rear door speakers don't work on super cab after new head unit replacement

Hey
I replaced the head unit on my '08 supercab. The aftermarket speakers worked fine with my factory head unit, and with the new head unit when I installed it. I have had the head unit out twice since, and I first noticed the rear door speakers don't work today. I have checked the fader, and no sound from the rear. I am guessing it is the ground to the rear speakers, but what wire color is that from the factory harness? I have a metra harness that goes from the head unit to the factory harness. Thanks. I only ask because that info will make the job go quicker.

I would pull out the rear speakers to make sure that the speaker wire didnt come off the terminals. Or your rears could be blown. If you take your rear speakers out, test the impedance of the speakers with a Digital Multi-Meter. If the speakers are good, they should read between 3.8 ohms to about 4.6 ohms. Any other weird numbers meanyoour speakers are shot.

I just had another thought. Was you deck installed professionally? How was the deck wiring and the metra harness connected? Soldered and shrink wrapped? bell caps? or just twisted and tapped? I would pull out the deck and check the wiring behind the radio first. wiggle the wires, etc...

Bell clamps (crimp?)
Well, the crimp connectors did look like bells. I am thinking this might be the fail, I was just wondering about the wire color. I pulled on the wires and bell after crimping, and all was good, speakers did work with everything installed. Because nobody rides in the back, I didn't notice when the speakers out.

On the metra harness, or any harness, the rear speakers color are green, and purple. the wires with the black tracer are the - for the speakers.

The second harness is for the subs, steering wheel controls, and aux input. I think it also is the sat radio if you have that as well.
