Default Really stupid question

I've searched, and i doubt that I'm using the right words, haha.

Back in the day when i used to install aftermarket stereos in all my rides, i used to get a specific manufacturers wiring harness. Wire it to the stereo, and plug n play.

I'm looking at the appradio 2, as the hu in my truck is not operating correctly. So the dumb question is...do i need an "09+ f150 wiring harness" to wire the appradio in? Like i used to back in the day? Or does it come with one? Or do i just cut n splice?

Crutchfield wil give you the harness for free. Metra or pac sells harness that will plug into the truck then you'll need to splice it in to the new harness.

You could just splice in the new harness, but some people think cutting out the factory harness is a sin.

I have all the wiring diagrams if you need them.

Buy one from Crutchfield and you will get all you need. Bought 2 that way.
