Default Radio/CD player problem

I just replaced my stock AM/FM stereo with a 6 CD player out of a new 2008 F250 (the F250 got a audio upgraded). Problem is that the radio dial lighting starts flickering when I turn on my headlights. Lights are fine with my old radio. Help.

Sounds like you might have a short in it.

check connections on the back, make sure all the wires are in there snug, make sure none of the pins are messed up on the back of the deck and check if they are lose, sometimes a few leads break off from the board in the deck and its a nice expensive fix
