Default Quick question on replacing factory HU

Hey guys, sorry but I can't find a definitive answer on this anywhere. I have a 2005 F150 Supercrew and am installing a new Pioneer X920BT stereo. Can anyone tell me what the 16-pin connector on the factory HU? I have a feeling it's for a factory amp, but do I still need this for anything or can I just tuck it away unused?

Thanks!

It's the Aux for the head unit (in 2005 the two aux sources were Sirius and the Rear Seat Entertainment (DVD) systems).

If you don't have either source, you don't need the connector.
