Quick 2013 Super Crew Speaker Question

Yes the Kicker system amps the door speakers, 45-50 watts rms. You do want a sub, not for window rattling bass, but to reproduce sounds your door speakers can't. The Kicer system doesn't come with new tweeters. You would have 4, the originals and the tweets in the new speakers. You don't want 5x7 speakers period. You want 6.5 round components in the front. 6x8 or 6.5 2 ways are fine in the back doors. Some people don't even upgrade the back doors speakers. The only reason to spend money on the rear doors is for back seat passengers. You won't really hear the back speakers much.

Get into your truck, set the fade to the rear speakers only and listen....do you hear that? That is your rear speakers and you are always going to hear them so DO NOT pollute your sound stage by installing junk speakers in the rear doors and than wondering why your nice new front speakers sound like garbage. Any sound that is made in the rear of the vehicle travels to the front and you are going to hear it. Honestly, if what people are saying is true than why put a sub woofer under the rear set....you're not going to hear it.
I just installed/removed a set of Polk db651s (6 1/2" round) in my 2013 F150 and they sound like ****. Absolutely zero base even for a speaker that small....The stock 5x7 speakers easily out perform them. I am now looking at Pioneer 6x8's and believe there are a lot of good quality 6x8's being made by some really big names.
