Unhappy Question about stock wiring....

I am switching out my stock single CD player for a Stock 08 Navi. I also plan to remove my stock steering wheel w/o radio and fan controls for a stock wheel w/ stereo and fan controls. I also plan on switching out the manual switches to the digital climate controls.

My question is, are there already the right wires behind the dash for this or do I need to purchase some new wiring harnesses to feed this info back and forth in my truck?

I have heard that to save money Ford stop putting the same wiring harnesses in all trucks and leaving them unplugged for the lesser versions. They supposedly now have a STX, a Lariet, a Harley, etc wiring diagram they install in which ever truck gets what. I dont know how much truth there is to that and would like some info.

Thanks

you will need to add more wires quite a bit more for the nav, the stock unit uses 2 plugs the nav uses 4 i believe
