105 and 103bt

Got some questions, 1.will that sub work with that amp?
2. Friend said try to get something with DVC, From what i read the JLw3 seris subs only come SVC.....is it really that much more important to have DVC? ( he has a 12w3v3 that is DVC but its much older.)
3 Whic head unit would you say is better.
(planing on getting componets later w/another amp)

O also what is a good cheap capacitor? doesnt have to have fancy display or lights

Thanks in advance!

Yes

The ohm load is all that matters, DVCs just give you more options for configuration. As long as you buy the right SVC to get the ohm load you need for your amp, you are fine.

Alpine CDE-103BT because of the 4V pre outs.

Don't waste your money on a cap, if you get dimming do the Big 3 or 4.

How big of a deal is the amp cost to you? While JL makes a good product, you are going to pay a premium for the name. Remember, as long as you put the amp behind the seat, no one will ever see it anyway.

Check out some of the new PDX series of Alpine power amps. VERY similar to the JL Audio HD series amps, at almost 50% of the cost. I just picked up a PDX-F4, and a PDX M6. Both of these amps cost me $298.00 each. Almost 1/2 the cost of a JL HD900/5

I shopped around, then went to Brands Mart USA locally, and picked up the Alpine INA-W900 HU with the Bluetooth module, an Imprint Processor, a PDX-M6, and a PDX-F4. I told the sale guy I had seen them online for $298, and he matched the price

That G1700 is a disco model. It puts out 700 watts at 2 ohms, not 4. It puts out 350 at 4 ohms. The Alpine PDX-M6 is rated for 600 watts RMS at a 4 ohm load.

The A1400 is disco as well.
