Default Powered sub?

I am looking for a good powered sub to go behind the seat. What would be a recommended brand? I know a shallow mount isnt going to vibrate the whole truck, but want something sounds good and doesnt bottom out.

Thank you in advance, if someone has pics that would be awesome.

I right now have a kicker powered 10'' under the rear seat. It bottoms out to easily and the bass sounds like crap. I have the gain maybe 1/4 way up. I have heard good things about the sound ordnance and can be placed behind the seat. However it is a 8'' sub and want to get feed back. I dont want a huge overpowering subs, but i want good bass that doesnt bottom out.

I'm running 2 10" digital designs subs and pushing 600 watts rms to each. Let's just say that on a low hitting song they make all 3 mirrors useless

They make a 8" that will fit fine with correct airspace and handle 800rms/3200peak

They 1000 series subs are a bit cheaper and still handle 500 rms. I got mine for $150 a sub locally

I'm running the Sound Ordnance B-8PT and running it off the stock HU with the PAC AOEM-FRD24. I listen to mostly country so it fits my needs perfectly. However, if I ever turn on hip-hop or top 40, you definitely loose the very low end bass. The frequency range is only 40-200Hz so keep that in mind. Overall I'm more than pleased with the little unit. It fits perfectly under the back seat of my Scab.

Sounds like if you're not pleased with a 10", the SO B-8PT might not be for you. Hope this helps!

I bought a Lanzar Vector 8" Super Slim powered sub on amazon. I wasnt expecting much based on the price, I just wanted some added bass to the factory unit. It sounds very good for a powered sub. The tech at best buy was amazed at how well it picked up the lows. He said it was way better than the kicker hideaway they sell. Which was funny to me, usually they try and push you into buying their own stuff.

I have it under the front passenger seat.

any pre-packaged, selfpowered unit will fall short of what a nice non shallow subwoofer with correct enclosure and amp can do. Do it right the first time. You can get a custom box to fit damn near anything.
