Power cable locations
Does anyone know for certain if there is a power source feeding the fuse box on the 04-08 trucks that I can tap into to run my power wire so I can avoid going off the battery and through the firewall? I think it would make for a cleaner under hood look if there is a power supply under there with a big enough capacity to run it that way

Um, I don't think you want to do that if there was.
A dedicated line feeding power directly to your amp/amps is the way to go. I'm running 2 JL audio amps and have them fused @ 100 amps. I don't think you would want to pull 100 amps through any factory wires. You would probably be susceptible to a lot of unwanted noise and stand a chance of burning your truck to the ground.
