Default Ported box question

Ok guys I have 2 15" powerbass subs (m series) and I just got the ported box I ordered the other day. Hooked everything up and it sounds like trash. Not hitting anywhere close as to what the sealed box was. I did try to mess with the tuning on the amp and that to try and get the sound I was looking for but I was unsuccessful. I'm out of ideas, help please!! By the way this is sitting on the back seat of my 01 ext. cab. Any help would be great...thanks

shuv blankets or toweles in the port....

Find music with super LOW LOW LOW bass.. and that ported box will be hard to get rid of. If you are not using it for LOW LOW bass... I'd get rid of that ported box

My 15 with ported box never sounded good, unless i was legitly throwing down.

a ported box will never be as acurate and sound as nice as a sealed box. the other problem is you are using a 15 inch sub. They are terrible. sloppy bass. no tight sounds. You need to re do your setup.

in my professional opinion that is.

Ok then..Any suggestions on what exactly I should do to "re-do" my setup? Currently using just an 1100 watt amp (Sony xplod) to push the two subs.

I had a single 10 and it was overkill in my supercab
