Anyone have a pic of their wiring harness kit? Mine came in with the dash kit, but only has one plug to the radio that goes to the factory ford harness. My issue is the stock radio/ford harness has two plugs. So now I have 1 plug just sitting there hooked to nothing. Does that 2nd plug tie into anything?

All set up and installed!!
pics coming soon!

Nicely done - I was told that the other harness is there for the overhead DVD System. Some Trucks don't have the extra equipment - but the factory wires every truck identical out of the plant.. There should of been to plugs.. 1 big 19 or 20 pin I believe and then the RCA Sub Amp plug - this will be utilized if you have an upgraded stereo system..

Hope that helps.. Have fun playing with Unit..

THIS INSTALL WAS SO EASY!!

I like the HU so much. I have it on the green setting so it matches the dash. By pass was easy after following the video too!

I am still looking for advise on what sub and box to go with. Any suggestions? I have a MTX Audio 5601 to power a sub/subs. Looking to go with 10"/ 10"s. dont want a seat lift and do want it to go under the back seat. Any advise or suggestions?

Once I make a decion on box and sub/subs i will wire and mount the amps on the back wall. i have verything needed for this. Help me get the most bang for my buck in the limited space we have under the back seat!

Default Subs and Box

I wouldn't buy a speaker that doesn't advertise all the specs for the speaker, without all the specs, Fs, Re, Qms, Qes, Sd, Vas, Xmax, Le and nominal power, you can't verify the box size will be correct for the speaker.

The Pyles you are looking at have very few specs, is the advertised wattage max, therefore amp sizing is a guess. Seems to me the free air space of the box is rather small, and there are no sizes indicated for the porting.

Its your money but I would do some more digging.

Default Pyle Speaker Reponses for Custom Box

Heres what I came up with for the closed box you refer to from ebay asuming that both chambers are of equivalent size and guessing at speaker volume of 4 liters.

I would get a couple lbs or acoustic fill and stuff those boxes.http://www.parts-express.com/pe/psho...number=260-317

Note that the Xmax (cone excursion) this is not stated for Pyle speakers you are looking at. But you can limit this with the amps cross over frequency adjustments min at 45hz max at 450hz

I have no clue what any of this means! In layman's terms how would this sub and amp work/ sound? Should i go with 1 10' sub in a dual 10's box to have more air space(dual with only one 10' hole cut)?

To answer your question in layman's terms, the curves look good in the box you are looking at, as long as you use the stuffing I am suggesting, the amp on the other hand is too big if you don't trim the gain down.

These speakers are only capable of a continuous input of 150 Watts RMS. So I would be looking at an amp with no more the 500 watts RMS forget about max outputs they are based on theory. You could go larger with the amp and then use the gain to trim down the output, that way if you go larger in the future you will always have the amp.

Parts express.com also sells the Pyles, they are about the same price.
