Outdoor speakers, amp, iPod, tailgate party.
I had a thought and finally created it. May be an easier way but sometimes you want to get rowdy by the bonfire, tailgating, etc... Here's what I did.
Products:
2 Polk Audio Atrium 4 Outdoor Speakers ($100 on Amazon)
1 Kenwood 350watt 2 channel amp ($60 on Amazon)
1 box of spade clips ($3 at Auto Zone)
1 spool of Monster Cable speaker wire. (Left over from wiring up my parents outdoor speakers)
1 RCA to Headphone cable ($15 from Radio Shack)
1 trailer plug ($12.99 Auto Zone)
1 20 amp fuse ($4 Auto Zone)
With help of a friend and some searching we were able to get constant 12v through the trailer pin with the key off by adding a jumper and a 20 amp fuse. (apparently not all 2010 F150's with the tow package come with the fuse and relay) this is what we did:
I don't have pictures of the "install" but ran speaker wire to the ground and constant 12 (diagram is on the cover) I think it was like the 9 and 4 o'clock positions.
Wired up the amp:
Speakers:
Amp:
iPod and cable:
And the plug in:
And the video:
There may have been an easier way but being able to run "key off" and only run the amp it should conserve some battery life. Enjoy!

Ok, video didn't post. I'll work on that... Would I have to upload the video to photobucket or something? If anyone knows that would be great. Thanks.

Don't let Jeff Foxworthy see this lol. But it's a great idea!
Here is another idea I posted this in the random pics but still kinda cool and pricey....
Btw. It's 2200 + 300 shipping .so your idea is a lot better ! Just hope you have a back up battery Incase you drain that one.
