Could you make a make a suggestion for components? I had JBL Power coaxles in my truck I just sold (F350 S-duty) and they sound very good. Even blasting. With a PG 600.4 A/B amp......My reasoning for that was so that I would not have to make something to fill the gap of a 6.5 or something.....
I am just starting to look at stereo equipment again. Havent done this for 3-4 years.....Looking for my new(to me) Super Crew f-150.....

The Kappa's....http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-INFINI...t=Car_Speakers

The only things I've ordered so far are is the LOC, speakers, and wiring kit. I got the LOC from the link you posted. I thought that was weird that it was half the price as it is on the site. I think I may just return the speakers when they arrive, as I've decided on comps. I'm looking at these http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1086820...ures_and_specs I've read that the Kappa comps have very harsh tweets, and that these are a bit smoother. I'll prolly go with this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...lon+XR-4S.html It looks like I can put 150w to the fronts, and bridge to 300w for my sub. My questions are these. Will pushing 60 more watts to the fronts harm them, and with the fronts being 2ohm, and bridged it says 300w 4ohm. Can I run the fronts at 2ohms, and get the image dynamics sub at 4ohm and run that way? Thanks for all the help. This will be my first time running a sub, and I have a lot of questions. Thanks again! -Mac

Yes, just make sure you tune the system correctly. The head room on the amp power means you'll be running even cleaner at the comp's max power.

Cool! I guess I'll go with that amp after all. Unless yall have any other recommendations. I only want to run one amp, and keep the price around $300 give or take. I was just worried about using a 4 channel as a 3 channel. Upon further reading I see that it is a 4/3/2 channel operation. It just didn't sound right. Also I wasn't sure if you could wire an amp to run 2 and 4 ohms at the same time. Last thing, will 300w be enough for the ID sub? http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...t.jsp?prodId=4 Thanks for the help. -Mac

Is that the sub you bought? You can't wire a single 4 ohm DVC sub to a 4 ohm load.

By the way, you can get the same power out of the Kenwood Excelon KAC-X4R for $268 (http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/kac-x4r.aspx). All of the stores used the 12V numbers instead of the 14.4V, the real numbers are on page 11 here http://www.kenwoodusa.com/UserFiles/...ls/KAC-X4R.pdf

100x4 4 ohms
150x4 2 ohms
300 Bridged rear channels
It's got a built in EQ and Time delay as well.

You can get up into the thousands with some of the high end stuff from Morel, Rainbow, and Focal. But you'd probably get the best end product running individual raw drivers and going with a fully active crossover and processing system. If you've got a decent wad to blow, I'd request some advice from the guys over at diyma, I've sure they can put together some sick recommendations for you.

So the 2 ohm speaker wouldn't work either then. http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...jsp?prodId=268 I haven't ordered the speakers yet. Because the amp is bridged in 4 ohm? What amp would you recommend for the speakers I've selected. I would like to keep a single amp system.
