Im thinkin to crack open the oem 4" screen on the radio of my 2013 f150 in hopes to interupt the picture from the radio and patch in rear cam....but my question is the screen full color or just blue? So if theres any ford techs on here id like to hear from them.....

My wifes 2014 Escape has the exact same 4" screen on her truck and that's where her back up camera video shows up, and in full color.

Let me know how you accomplish this as I would like to do that mod my self, the rear view mirror is so tiny compared.

Update: This possible mod has been eating away at me ever since I bought my wife her 14 Escape.

I have since acquired wiring diagrams for her truck and have compared them to the wiring in my truck and they match nearly identical, I will have to move some wiring around but the FDIM in both vehicles are the same with exception that the F150 camera wires go to the rear view mirror and the Escape wires go to the center screen.

I'll post later with progress reports, pics, specs, etc.

Sad to say no dice on this mod....ive pulled the screen and theres power,ground, and 2 ither wires which one would think are video but they are can bus wires...soon as i plug an rca to it to get picture to another screen it shuts diwn the radio, so i opened up the screen and theres a ribbon cable goin from the board to the screen...so i stopped there and put it back together....
