Friend of mine had a basslink in his trans-am and it thumped really well for the amount of space it used and its power consumption. I would be surprised if it fit under the front seat, but would almost definitely fit under the back seat.

I am going to go with a bazooka tube, cheap, just enough bass and easy to remove if I need space in the back under the seat.

Out of curiosity, did you have to run a separate power cable to the battery for the self-amped sub? Or is there a way to just tap into the power line running to the speaker amp?

Getting ready to replace my speakers and install an amp. Wasn't planning on installing a sub just yet and it seems like most of these low profile subs come with their own amp so it would be pointless to get a 5 channel amp.

You should run a power line from the battery.

Thanks - decided I'm going to get a 5 channel amp. Between the harnesses, the dampening kits, etc etc etc - this is turning out to be a costly little project.
