Default new sub setup possibly

im thinking about gettin 2 of these subs http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8771-swr...subwoofer.aspx

and putting them in this box http://caraudiofactory.com/20012003-....html?osCsid=7

they would be getting .605 cubic foot of airspace each and I will put in some poly fill in it as well. instead of the subs on the backseat like they are. running them off of a 2000watt hifonics Brutus elite amp, an wiring them down to 1ohm. have any of you guys used these subs before, if so howd you like them? thanks for the input

FYI, sonicelectronix has the next generation Typer-R (SWR-10D4) for twenty bucks more a pop (that's $20 less than woofersetc).

The RMS handling was increased from 600W RMS with the SWR-1043D to 1000W RMS with the SWR-10D4

I have two older style type r 10's in the trunk of my Taurus with each one powered by an Alpine MRP500 amp and a ported box. They sound really good, very loud and I have never heard them distort. They are loud enough to make the outsides of my doors move an inch or two back and forth. I think you'll be happy with them.

Your amp looks to be putting out 2000W RMS (BRE2000.1D?), though. Peak is just a marketing term, about useless in component selection.

I have two of these under my rear seat! Very good subs for the price. Prolly wont win any SQ competitions, but are great for the moderate user. They have the capability to get fairly loud too. Great SPL speakers.

I am new to the model that just came out. I have the SWR 1043d's
