Yes, connect to Sync for phone calls, and the 890HD for audio if you use bluetooth audio for Pandora and or Iheartradio on you 890!

I usually just have my phones bluetooth connected to Sync only, then only when using Pandora or Iheartradio Ill connect my phones bluetooth to the 892s audio!

In which the Kenwood Inrx Traffic App, automatically connects to my 892 on its own just as Sync does when I start my truck!
