Mine seems to work fine. I would try moving the wire while the image is displayed to see if that makes a difference. Maybe it is picking up interference from a nearby component. I would also wiggle the wires near the connections to be sure they are tight.

Ok I am a little confused by things and so I'd like to clarify.

First, I have a 2012 FX4 w/ Factory Nav, Sync and Sony audio.

1) I can retain the factory back up camera and parking sensor sound, correct?

2) HVAC control buttons still work and the associated info will display on the Kenwood 991HD, correct?

3) If I want to bypass the Sony amp I can just do it off the pre-amp outputs as if it were any other radio install and it won't jack up anything?

Second vehicle, 2010 GT500, Factory Nav

Random general question, does anyone have the 991HD installed in a F150? Crutchfield says it doesn't fit and I'm doubting that conclusion.

OK, here I go again, about a year ago I lost my navagation, just acted weird. I did a flash update and that straighten out and my DNX890hd work perfect. a few week ago nav acted weird again so I did the flash update 03.04.2014. Nav came back but has created other issues. 1. you must press the nav start page just as soon as it appears or it will freeze that page. I have to shut down and power up again. 2. Steering wheel volume button won't work unless I use the radio up down volume first.
12V Guy do you know if there will be a new flash update? Has there been anyone mention this since the update? I'm dealing with this but hope that the Nav system continues to work. I travel with my son to his Basketball games and would hate to get lost in the night. Thanks everyone.

When you say "Flash Update" are you referring to updating the MRR module or the DNX890HD radio? Please clarify.

12V Guy. apologies on the wording flash, correction is Firmware update. The version I just updated with is: Sustems Firmware update Navigation/Multimedia receiver firmware updater 03.04.2014

What is the serial number of your radio? You can find it on the box or in the Software setting inside the Kenwood.

12V Guy. The SN or Software Keycode which is the same number on the box and in the radio. 30102395. I hope you know a fix for this. Everyday something else is freezing up and multiple shutdowns just to get the radio to work. Once nav is running menu button no longer works. Hope you find something soon. Thanks

Checked with Kenwood. The SN of your radio falls into a range of units that may have corrupted navigation memory. Most likely your unit needs to go into Kenwood for service. Please contact them for details, but they are aware of this issue and the solution.
