No my camera is pioneer. I have it above the license plate centered on my ball. You can do the one in the emblem, but it wasn't worth the hassle to me. As far as the mic, I have the mic in my rearview which didn't work great. I just used the pioneer mic.

So you had the option of keeping sync but you decided to ditch it? Or was it not compatible with the new deck. I have an XLT with the standard radio and want to upgrade but keep the sync as well.

I have an Eclipse AVN726E. It has built in Bluetooth, Navigation and a backup camera. I love it. I had the Dash kit painted glossy black. It looks really good.

The compatibility has noting to do with any radio as far as I know. It is if you want to fork out around 200 to 300 for a special wiring harness. Most radios such as mine do most everything sync does, but just a personal decision.

Memphis how did you keep the steering wheel control did you have to buy a PAC unit for that? I am about to pull the trigger on a new head unit the pionerr P3300BT, I'm debating whether to keep the SYNC or not, the additonal harness cost about 100 bucks if I get the HU through crutchfield.

I feel like ditching the SYNC, since honeslty it's kind of not all that it's pumped up to be. The voice recognition sucks, the ipod connect works when it wants to. I know the P3300BT has bluetooth and ipod controls, my question is what happens to the screen above the factory HU.

I promise you won't miss "stync" at all. My steering wheel control is maintained with the metra axxess aswc. Cost me about $45 from amazon. Hooked it up with 3 wires and it programs itself. Installed in minutes.... Get the deck, and only if you miss sync, get the pricey harness. But i doubt you'll miss it.

I will switch it out once the kit comes out though. I could not take the factory radio anymore!!!!!
is there an update on when the Metra FX4 style dash kit will be for sale??
