Default New HU for 2011 f-150 Questions???

I want to change the head unit in my 2011 xlt. I don't have sync or steering wheel controls. I would like to now what wire harness I need and also is there a harness that lets the aux port still function? How about an adapter to use the factory satellite radio antenna? Any help would be great as I have no idea!!! Thank you

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm replacing the factory unit and would like to use the factory Satellite antenna with an after market module. Hope someone who may know chimes in.

Start with Crutchfield. They will tell you what fits and what is needed.

An after market radio would need a SAT tuner and they come with an antenna

This is true. However why ADD an aftermarket anntenna when you already have one from the factory? I was considering having a stereo shop do my aftermarket install but I decided to do it myself and skip the add on sirius module altogether, BUT one installer told me it was 100% possible to retain the factory sirius anntenna, although Im not sure exactly how thats done.

I bought all my stuff from crutchfield - AMAZING customer service. Give them a call.

You can remove the plastic clip on the end of the factory Sirius antenna and sometimes it will fit on an aftermarket Sirius module

I have a 2011 f150, factory radio with sinc, but not /sirius. It has the button but no sat receiver.
Can I add an after market receiver / antena to the radio?

Thanks
