Default new headunit problems!!! help

i just put in a new headunit but i have had a few problems with it.. first off it has one of those ipod connections, and after i change the songs a few times through the headunit it starts getting a longer and longer delay till it doesnt work anymore, i have to reset the hu to make it work again..
next problem is when i drive really slow like when i stop or go again the hu powers off by itself... we checked the wires n connections many times n still dont know n cant figure it out, any ideas??

okay, did you use a wiring kit, or hardwire the head unit? It sounds more like a problem with the head unit its self. Have you talked to their customer support?
