hey guys im looking for a new head unit because i have come to hate my stock one , but i want a new unit that doesnt break the bank and has a good ipod interface and it could play dvds also, i think i do want a touch screen, but it doesnt matter double din or not, i dont car if its a flip out monitor, so any suggestions???

You have a double din space, USE IT!! I am looking at the JVC with built in NAV touch screen. Has ipod/iphone capabilities also! Its pricey but definitely what I want!! Also, detach face for security!!!

I have a pioneer 7010bt it has nav and ipod control doesnt play dvd buy if you have video on ipod it works that way. there is another model of this unit that does have dvd capability mine is good have voice control for ipod and nav is included so no extra charge. got mine for 750 new.

i was gonna go with a touch screen but i just didnt wanna spend that much on it. i ended up gettin an alpine IDA-X305. its not a touch, but you can change the background still and switch between red or blue illumination. love the ipod interface, its really easy and actually looks nice. ive seen so many where the interface works good but just looks plain cheap(in my opinion). i got some pics in my album. 260 + free shipping from crutchfield, exactly what i was lookin for.

my friend has that in his powerstroke. im a bigger fan of alpine or kenwood than pioneer, but if i was gonna get a touch screen id get that one for sure. its basically the same thing as the others, just seems like way better value. id try and find a screen protector of some kind though, his got scratched up pretty quick just from touching it.
