I just picked up a new alpine head unit to have a radio compatible with my ipod. It's the Alpine CDE-9874. Just wondering if anybody had any experience or ideas on what to expect with this setup. thanks.

They are a good entry/mid priced radio. The ipod control through the KCE-422i takes a little getting used to with the radio only having a one line display.

That's fine with me, I'm not gonna be taking my truck to any audio shows or anything. I just wanted something that could do more than play cassette tapes and then i could have the options of upgrading the rest of my sound system down the road. it's just a start.
