Need to upgrade the sound in my 2012 F150
#11
I suggest PowerBass (brand) and they have a 6x8 sized speakers that will fit in our trucks. I put those in mine, but they are amped, and they sound amazing. BUT I had to put spacers on them or else my window would only go down so far . . . And I would just go all out, because once you start adding a little sound stuff, you just want more, but thats just my opinion.
Thanks for the reply.

Well I went all out. I used the PAC adapter for our trucks and ran all new wiring to the 4 door speakers from a 1600/4 amp. Those powerbass 3XL will fit but you need to get a spacer or else your window is NOT going to go down very far. They have pretty good bass for a full range speaker. Then I also have a 1300/2 D amp for my 2 powerbass 10" subs under my back seat. Those hit hard and nice for being 10's, but if on a budget, you don't need the subs, but would recommend them. My local truck shop/custom place suggested Powerbass to me, I was a lil weary at first, but don't regret the decision one bit

Check out my thread on my upgrade. Still running the factory HU with new door speakers and a powered sub. The sound is night and day.

I wouldn't say i went all out. There are other on here that have "went all out", but I understand and the only issue I had with taking it to an audio place was they were going to charge about $50 an hour to isntall everything. It took me and a buddy about 6 hours once its all said and done. So I saved some money and am happy I did it myself. But it looks completely stock on the inside, and I'm still using the factory HU.
