Default XM components in my Sirius head unit

Hey guys. I want to use my XM radio components in my '09 F150. It is Sirius ready but I'm thinking my XM stuff should work as well. Can anyone confirm this before I pull the dash apart to find out?
This is the factory Sirius ready unit.

Hi there -

We recommend that you swap out the antenna as well to optimize the signal if you are going to change the head unit from Sirius to XM.

Feel free to reach out to us by fill out this form:

I replaced my factory sirius head unit and sirius receiver with a pioneer head unit and pioneer xm receiver, I was able to make the factory satellite antenna work and everything plays great. I get every channel but the only downside is that the titles of the songs, artist and stations don't show. Would this be because of the factory sirius antenna?

I would say yes, unless theres a way on your Pioneer to enable/disable song title which I doubt!

That's what I thought. Oh well, I'll just deal with it. I'd rather deal with it than have 2 different antennas. What's interesting about the pioneer head unit is that it will accept a sirius receiver or xm. I went with the xm due to the fact that it's an older model

If you are familiar with these pieces then you will understand.

An antenna won't make your titles not show. That is a setting in the radio.

I was thinking the same thing but when I was originally trying to find that magic receiver I hooked up a Sirius receiver and it showed the titles but that piece was in demo version unlike the magic receiver I have now.

How did you get the factory satellite antenna to work?

When you unplug the factory satellite antenna from the factory satellite receiver the wire will have 2 plastic pieces on the end of it, you just separate those 2 pieces from the wire and it will plug right into the aftermarket satellite receiver.
