Default need some help

hey everybody, not really new to the forum, just forgot all my info, anyhow, I have a 97 xlt and are in the process of hooking up an amp and 2 subs. I need help in locating a good place to run the power cable through the firewall. I had found a grommet behind the a/c unit (right side behind the battery) that the cable fit through but everything was so tight, I couldn't fish it through. I was really trying to avoid drilling a hole through the firewall if possible but it seems that may be the way, I appreciate any info in advance...

nothing?? I've been told that there is a grommet near the clutch or brake booster but I was trying to keep the power wire on the same side as the battery...

Yea there is a grommet on the drivers side. I drilled a hole in the passenger floorboard of my truck, installed a grommet, and ran it to the battery. It has worked great for two years!
