Gator,

what amps are you running? I thought about running the 3 subs in a series/parallel combo to achieve a 4 ohm mono load, which should give me around 400 watts of good clean power...which should be more than enough for me! Let me keep things in perspective.....I only plan on adding come coaxials, and already running Kenwood 645-BT head unit. I may swap it out for a double din touch screen, but all in due time.

I also have a Memphis ST3004 I plan to run on the coaxials......75x4 is plenty for me. I am just looking for a little more sound and power. I dont want to compete in SQ or DB competitions. Just something to listen to on the road.....thats all!

I've got a single Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X4R, running 100W RMS each to the components in the front doors, and 300W RMS to a single 10 with sensitivity in the 90s.

OK, I see now that PPI put out two PC2100s, that was throwing me for a loop. It looks like the old W6s are 6 ohm DVCs (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/8-12W6_BDS.pdf) that can handle 300W RMS. I feel like 133 W RMS each is going to be on the low side for those subs, and will be real low output for all the effort. You could try running two at 1.5 ohms (I see a couple other guys down in the 2 ohm range with it bridged), you'd probably get closer to 500W-800W RMS that way, just keep it gained down and clean.

I thought about the 2 option......but I was afraid of the impedence being too low for that amp and given its age....I didnt wanna burn it up!! Are you saying with 2 subs it would be a 3 ohm load.....but bridging the amp, the amp would see half the load correct?

Running the amp bridged to mono - wiring the two 6 ohm DVCs in parallel-parallel will give you 1.5 ohm load, series parallel will give you a 6 ohm load.

Looking at it again, your best bet may be to run the amp in stereo with a 3 ohm load on each channel (1 sub run parrallel). The amp is rated at 100W at 4 ohms, and 200W at 2 ohms, so you'll get something in between. Remember, since PPI rates their amps at 12 V, you'll probably be seeing actual results about 25% higher, so running 3 ohm stereo you'll probably still get close to 400W out of it.
