Need help with Pioneer 1400DVD Headunit about to hurt this thing

Push in your parking brake and it should work.
The bypass will allow you to not have to deal wih this, but you only need it if you are planning on messing with the head unit's dvd playback (or picture installation apparently) when driving (i.e. when the parking brake is not being used).

If that doesn't work, then I would say that the parking brake wire either wasn't hooked up or hooked up incorrectly. You would have to double check your connections
Was this a self install or from a stereo shop?
