need help installing
Hi, I have my subs and just got my wires all I need to do know is wire them. I can figure out the powered and the ground and the speaker wires. I need help with the stereo/head unit. I wanna know what I'm getting into as a first timer. What will I need and should my stereo work properly? I have a 2000+ I think Sony xplod not sure the model or anything. Help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Its a 2ohm amp 1channel mono and the head unit I know nothing about but its Sony xplod it seems fairly new but not real new I'm guessing 2005-07? Just need to know what I would need to do to hook up the amp to the head unit?

You need RCA wires, which will hook into the pre-outs on the back of the head unit. Those run back to your amp and hook into the inputs. Also a single wire called a remote wire will hook to a blue wire on the back of your head unit, this also will run to your amp and get hooked into the remote input.
If you don't have power/ground wire yet, then just buy an amp wiring kit which will include everything that you need.

Haha and exactly what I have is embarrassing cuz im in high school working part time. Super Broke! Haha I have 2 12 inch Sony xplods... for now only, I hope. A concept amp. I am looking for a new amp. I want one cheap and around 800 watts. What would you guys recomend? Also looking for a new deck. Any brands you guys like? Somthing strong enough to run the door speakers without really needing an amp?

Rca's and the remote (signal) wire. I personally like Kenwood head units but Pioneer is good too. I have ran a cheap american legacy amp that was "800" watts. Now I am running a 760 watt xplod and it seems decent.

everyone has to start somewhere. Concept amps are great amps and usually underrated.
As far as running the wiring goes. make surer you run the proper size Power and ground wires or youll never get the most out of your system.
