Default Need Help - Factory sub not working with Kenwood and Masetro

Looking for some help on this one...

I installed a Kenwood DNX6190HD with the Maestro and Ford harness in my 12 F150 with the Sony audio system. Everything works great, except I am not getting and sound from my factory sub. Followed the directions and connected the subwoofer RCA's on the harness to the sub out on the Kenwood deck. Played with all the settings on the deck, but no luck.

The only thing I can think of is when I flashed the Maestro module for my truck, I was given two choices - Base or Navigation. Since I don't have factory Nav, I selected base. Now it did ask me later if I had a factory amplifier which I selected yes.

Any ideas??? Hoping someone else has experienced and fixed this.

Hi,

replied to your PM. BTW, I know a ton about Maestro because I work for ADS, the company that makes it.

Cheers,

12V Guy, I am having this same issue. I have a Sony XAVAX4000 going through Maestro RR. I have a 2012 Ford F150 with factory nav. I have everything working as it should but I am not getting any output from my factory subwoofer/amplifier. Can you provide me with any advice you gave to the OP, please?? Thank you!

Unfortunately, this is quite an old thread. The guy above you hasnt logged in since 2020. I will say, ensure that you have the sub turned on in the head unit. I had a Pioneer/Maestro combo in my 2013 with sony sub and the sub option was toggled off in my head unit when I first set it up. Once activated, there are new sub options. Might be worth an email to Maestro.

I have ensured that the sub is turned on and all the way up. Thank you for the help, I will give that a try
