x2...... a good box to house 2 10's will cost a good portion of your budget. then, 2 10's themselves could run you 100-300 or so depending on rating/brand etc. then you will need an amp which could run you 200-???? to run both subs.

you could add a single sub/amp, build your own box, and save a bunch of money. you will still get a better sound from stock. plus, change out the factory speakers and you will be happy.

there are a lot of options to fit different needs/desires. do some searching and you will find what you need.

good luck.

Thumbs down

Thanks for the info. And i can probably go higher on the budget if i need to. I also have friend that can make the box for me so that will save me some money. Im not looking for a top of the line system just something that sounds good and clean.

Just a little something I found that you can share with your box building friend.

You may need to register to view the pics, but maybe not.

Please disregard... I just noticed you have a regular cab and the link I posted is for a SCab or SCrew.

no its not...assuming you meant that you have 400$ to spend just on the subs and you have more money to spend on amplifier, box, etc....you can get a dam nice setup with two 10's for $400 dollars...

If you want to stick with Kicker, you need AT THE VERY LEAST the 400.1 I would recommend the 750.1 though. With the 750.1 amp you will be good and loud. It will sound really nice.
