Default Navigation/Ford My Touch Question

Hi guys. Have a new 2015 Ford F 150 Super Crew. It has the Bluetooth an all but not the navigation, touch screen, and Xm.

I have a portable Xm now and portable nav system but I really want the factory nav setup from ford.

Where can I get one and how much they normally go for?

And if they are ridiculously priced, do you recommend another head deck that's touch screen, navigation, and Xm compatible along with having the steering controls operable?

I'll have this truck for 3 years and I drive ALOT so I need this. I just couldn't afford the 302A package when I purchased the truck.

Thanks for your help. I love this site. Can't wait to get more involved

There aren't any dash kits made yet to put an aftermarket HU in yet. You are stuck with the factory one.

Also you won't be able to add factory Nav after the fact.
The as-built data in your truck will never recognize the system since it wasn't built with nav.

I tried this on my Ford Focus ST and can confirm it won't work. I purchased a complete nav system with all the modules from a new wrecked Focus and installed it in my Focus with My Ford Touch but no nav. Car would never recognize it.
I spent countless hours on many forums and to my knowledge no one has had success with a Ford upgrade to nav.
You will be forced to buy aftermarket which by most accounts is better than OEM.
As a side note I have factory nav in a few of my other cars (including my F150) and never use them. I always default to my iPhone and Google Maps for the most up to date maps and ease of use.
Good luck
Danny

Yep, have nav in my SHO. Never use it as the Iphone is easier and better. The SHO was not even 6 months old when I received a statement to upgrade for $XXX. No thanks to uilt in navs.

I would go to Crutchfield.com.
They have great prices and very detailed info about each system they sell.

There aren't any dash kits yet for the 2015! No aftermarket for you. By a Garmin
