On a side note, I finally crawled underneath my truck to get some pics of my fuse bank and wire runs. Still need a bit more clean up on the power end of things, but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Power/first fuse bank. Second set of fuses will be going after the battery bank. Moar fusing is moar better!!

My head unit plan may have changed now. A friend of mine just told me about the iStreamer device. Which will allow me to go straight from the iPad to my MS-8 without having to use the Kenwood head unit. The only issue I'm facing with that option, is losing hands free calling. I knew I was going to have to lose Sync, but with the Kenwood at least I had some type of hands free bluetooth that would shut down my music when I got a call.. Gonna see if I can figure something out...

Interesting, I'm planning on doing a little rewiring myself in the near future and like you I'm going to run my power wire under the cab. But I plan on running the wire through a piece of piping, either pvc or steel for protection and I also plan on keeping the main fuse located in the engine compartment. Aren't you the least bit concerned about protection? Even if you never go off road I would be concerned about puddles, rain, snow, salt or just everyday road debris.....On a side note, I'm not much of a door panel kind of guy but you have some very nice ones there.

I got my bag of marshmallows and a pack of hotdogs ready for the impending BBQ. That's just foolish how he has that wired. Fuses in the wrong spot plus plenty of places for wires to chafe and ground out. Fuses need to be as close to the battery as possible

Very true statement, at least no more than18" of wire from the main battery source. But to each their own.

I noticed that all the fuse blocks were attached to what appears to be pieces of mdf? Is this truck only for show and not ment for driving?

Whoa. Definitely didn't see these updates. lol. I've been talking with people on another forum, and the fuses are going to be relocated to the engine bay when I get a chance. No updates for the recent past. Woodworking has to be done outside, and it's been raining pretty much straight for the past little while.

No haters here. Just valid concerns.
