Default my new system... need opinions..

ok well right now my truck is all bass and barely any mids/highs..i like it but i want it TOP notch, but not so hard on the wallet..
what i have now:
pioneer headunit (getting old and i'm ready to upgrade)
stock speakers in doors
1 12" digital design
2 10's (both about blown, if it werent for the box being ported the voice coils would drive you nuts)
2800 watt Lanzar amp (true 2400 watt)

what im looking to get soon:
JVC headunit like this:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...C-KD-R810.html
1 12" alpine type x or a DD 2500a series 12, i cant make up my mind.
this kicker component set for the front doors:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...r-DS680.2.html
and my current amp and another 4ch 500 watt max amp i have for my door speakers.

i'd like to hear some opinions and sugestions!

Can you run a double din? And is your truck a extended cab?

I installed Polk DB-571's in my 05 FX4 Screw along with JVC HDR720 and JL Audio 10W1v2-4 300w@4 ohm power by subordnance M-1500 300w@4ohm mono and it sounds absolutely amazing! Check out Crutchfield, they are great to deal with and also have unbias reviews and great prices and delivery in 2 days usually... you plug in your vehicle type and they show you what will fit and also give ya adapters for wiring specific to your vehicle and equipment for free, you can also chat w/ an advisor online and they are quite helpful on what'll sound good

At the shop I worked at we put 4 DD 12 in that same truck. Just took out the bottom of the back sets and built a seat box it banged really really loud

HOLY ***** 4 DD's? dang.. just one 500 series tuned and in a proper box beats like i've never heard... how are the 1000 series? i have an old 500 series and its ok but the voice coil is starting to make some noise.. its on its last leg, thats why im upgrading..

1000 are okay, but they don't make them any more. 1500s are best for the buck I think, I have 2 500 series 10 that pound real good tho. And I like the pioneers, but the alpine are nice just too expensive in my opinion

well i actually went with a door speaker i never looked at until today.. i got the alpine s series 6x8's in the front and i'm blown away, love'em. they were 100 bucks for the set but well worth it over stock..

and i think i'm going to get the DD 500 12 just like i have now except new in a proper box.
