Lining the inside walls with duraglass mixture would strengthen it, as well as internal bracing. But for that little sub you have you will be fine with what you've got. Great job for your first attempt, be proud of it.

I built a Few when i was in highschool we put a couple layers of cloth coated with resin and it was strong enough. to make it smoother spray it with a filler primer and then sand and repeat until smooth alot easier to sandthe primer than the fiberglass. Do you have the right amount of air space for the speaker. Nice job

How did you calculate the volume for the enclosure? it's definately not how I would approach things but it's a good first try I guess

I have a wood encllosure in my boat with the same sub in it and it sounds good enough for me so I filled that enclosure with packing peanuts and put those in the fiberglass one and they were about the same
