That is a setup right there. Nice.

How do you like the L1Pro2's. I really want the L1 R2's but I need a sound processor more.

Still holding out for the Fosgate 3Sixty.3. Out in April.

mSaLL,

I never asked you. How did you decide on your Scans?

Did you hear them beforehand or just take a shot based on recommendations and the signal graphs?

I would love to hear them but from what I see they really like on axis, which you have as good as possible in our trucks.

Im hoping for decent off axis dispersion with the dome Scans. Ive heard them on axis and agree - they sounded great. Was going back and forth with domes vs rings - seen some of the data on DIY where there wasnt that much difference in the lab but we all know what happens in vehicle.

My buddy just picked up some Vifa rings and I am going to give them a try off-axis. My tweets are in the door sails and Im not really interested in messing with the pillars or pods...unless that what it takes.

Still undecided on where to put the L4s. Right now the plan is in the kick area in the console somewhat on axis - my also bounce them of the door windows. Much trial and error to come but thats what its all about right

I love 'em. Had the Focal 3way and those were decent but after listening to the HAT's, I thought the Focal's were a little harsh. The pro 2's don't create fatigue like the Focals did.

Ok dumb question!! I have been following y'alls lead and I dynamated the back wall... Why are we just doing that section only? Should I be taking the rear seat out and doing the floor too or is that going overboard?

I've done the doors, floor and ceiling...not overboard

I have also replaced the carpet inside with a super plush sound dampening...

I think the back wall is just a very easy place to start. Might as well get it while the carpet is out.

I knew i was going to have some low end sound and a little dampener wouldn't hurt.

To be honest, i should have researched the whole art of vibration/sound deadening at the beginning.

I wouldn't have covered the entire back wall and gone with 25% coverage like I did the doors.

I made same move on the exterior door skins - went a little crazy. Doesn't really hurt anything but the wallet. Best investment in deadening for my install was a layer of closed cell foam over the dampener on door skins and on the inside of the panels.

Used this product:
http://www.raamaudio.com/pages/How%252dTo.html

There are lots of products/opinions out there - just happened to be buying my HATs from him and we worked a deal.

Did doors and rear wall and stopped there for now. Will eventually do roof and floor if I ever get enough motivation. What started as a simple stereo upgrade has turned into a multiple evolution $$$$$$ obsession.

Start with your end goal in mind - if your going the SQ route then by all means do what you can afford and the more area you cover the better. If you like it loud with eyeball shaking bass and roll with the windows down sharing your musical tastes with the guy next to you - I love watching people shake their heads and roll their windows up then there is no need to go crazy with it. Doors and back wall are a must either way you go IMO with roof and floors being optional.
