Default Metra or Scosche

Between the Metra 95-5812 and the Scosche FD1426B/FD1426 -Which mounting kit looks and fits better? I wouldn't think there is a differance in the wiring kits Scosche FDK11B/FDK11 or the Metra 95-5812 but does anyone prefer one over the other. Are there any wires that don't hook up with a harness? Should I get an Audiophile harness set since my truck has it pre-wired and I might want to add an amp/sub later?? I already opened up and found the plug taped up on the stereo harness. I plan on getting a JVC KW-NT1 or maybe a Kenwood DNX 5140.
Truck is an 05, FX4 with premium sound.
Thanks for any input.

I wouldnt go with the scosche just from what I just went through... I put in a pioneer double din screen, and I didn't like the quality of it, and it didn't fit that great either......so I would go metra.....

yeah cheap.... spacers and rest of plastic are really soft... and warp when the screws are tightened.... doesnt sit right in the dash either unless you modify it

Bad enough to replace it? If so that sucks. -Glad I asked. I went ahead and ordered a Metra when I ordered the Stereo. It will get here Tuesday, hopefully install it Wednesday to drive to Las Vegas on Thursday. How long did it take you to install yours? Thanks again.

it took some time... soldered up my harness... and took the dash out and mounted the kit to the unit. Mine is on a pioneer avh3100dvd soo I had to mount a switch for the "parking brake" lead... to short it to ground if I wanted to have my passengers watch movies while driving... here are my switches .....

-That really looks nice and clean. I would have put my driving light switches there also but I ended up putting my edge in there.
