METRA Amp Intergration hookup
Hi,
I have an 05 KR, I'm installing and indash dvd, I purchased the METRA Ford premium sound system harness to bypass or intergrate factory audio (PT # 70-5514) the kit comes with the amp integration plug the power harness and the amp bypass cable. First off I dont know if I bought the right harnesses but its all I could find online, I purchased the installation components prior and didnt want to buy them again on crutchfield to get this one stupid harness. My question is the amp bypass connector has 8 connections yet the factory harness only has 4, in addition the connections on the harness I bought appear to be speaker connections IE +/- (four sets), the sub connection from what I can see on the wiring diagram are SW+, SW-, Enable (REM?), and Drain (Ground) Could I just splice these in my main connectors off my deck? and run the sub off the rear channel? And loose sub controls?
