Default Messed up wiring

I just installed a pioneer touch screen headunit in my truck. When the truck is stopped the headunit works great but when the truck is moving the headunit wont work. I know that there is suppose the be a restrictor that stops you from watching dvds while driving but i thought that if it wasnt there then it didnt make a differnce. Does anyone have any ideas

Some of Pioneers newer nav/dvd units have gyros in them that can't be bypassed.

When you say head unit, are you talking not be able to listen to the radio and change stations or what? If you are watching a movie, then start driving and it stops working, then it is doing what it should. If it stops all together, you have another issue.

thanks for responding but i figured the problem out. i needed to ground out the speed control wire for the headunit. it stops the dvd player from working if the car is moving but apparently if the wire is not grounded none of the functions of the headunit work while the car is moving. ill post pics of the new install soon
