Was reading the article and noticed that you must have Android Lollipop, so damn!!! I'm running Kitkat. Decided just for grins to see if an update was available and voila' 1st of 2 updates to Lpop available for my phone.
Can hardly wait, I have had Kenwood products in the past and always had great service out of them.

so if i give 2 craps about sync or steering wheel controls I do not need the mystro thing right?
I assume the dash kit and the t harness is all I really need for what I want. slap in my DD pioneer and roll on.. am I correct?

My FX2 has a silver radio bezel. Doesn't match at all.
I don't think I care.
Edit: I think my biggest question is how (or if even) the Maestro RR box is going to interface Sync voice commands to the radio. I'm researching Android Auto and as nice as it would be to have it, I might skip it if Sync can control the audio, BT calling and navigation functions of a supported headunit.

3 questions:
What kind of testing have you guys put it through? Will it be ready for market or are we your beta testers?
Does it use Ford's internal microphone or do we need to use the radio's supplied mic.
If I don't have a rear window defroster and instead have side mirror defrosters in that button's location, will I still have that function?

After reading the initial description page, I see that the kit includes a harness to integrate into the factory wiring. If I were to then add an amplifier, would I need any additional harness? Or would one need to somehow tap into the provided harness from maestro? Learning this as I go.
