If you're worried about going back to stock, why not just cut the speaker wires on the t harness midway between the new stereo and the factory wiring. Then run the outputs from the amp to the cut wires on the harness going into the factory wiring. When you go back to stock, all you have to do is remove the harness and install factory radio again which needs to be done anyway. Saves you the trouble of running new wires through the molex connector on the doors and having to remove that wiring when returning to stock. Also factory wiring remains untouched.

Is anything going to ever be made for the MFT system?

I would get rid of it if I could find an interface that lets me control the climate functions like show in the first post.

Typically there will be a harness that connects to the factory harness and another harness that comes with the stereo. Each harness will have wire leads coming off that you can run to and from an amplifier (or use the pre-amp output to go to the amplifier. No cutting required.

For guys not using an amp, they have to solder the leads from each harness together.

Personally if I am going pre-amp to the amplifier I try to put a wire nut on each of the unused speaker outputs from the stereo.

That's correct. I don't know why I was thinking the t harness came with the stereo plug already on it. Hell, every manufacturer has a different plug. I guess I had a brain fart when looking at the wiring diagram. The only cutting required would be to cut the RCA plugs off of the speaker wires on the harness.

I know someone asked a question but it didn't get answered. I'll ask too cause I am wondering how it works.

1. I could care less about sync but I would like to use the stock Bluetooth mic and steering wheels control. Can maestro make it work like this?

2. I want to continue to have back up Camera as well.
Thanks guys

I assume the dash kit and the t harness is all I really need for what I want. slap in my DD pioneer and roll on.. am I correct?
You still need the Maestro RR module. You cannot use the climate controls or install radio without it. You will flash it and lose sync, but you can keep steering wheel controls and assign them however you like on the web interface. But you CANNOT install this kit/harness without RR module. It will not work.

Yes to everything except the factory microphone. You cannot use it. It runs to the Sync module, not the radio and it has noise reduction circuitry built into it that makes it not sound good with aftermarket radio. You will need to install mic that come with new radio if you plan to not keep Sync.

If you are using a data-enabled radio, you will un-check Sync when you flash it on the website. If you are using a non-data radio, the option to keep Sync will be grayed out since it isn't even possible. But this kit and Maestro RR can be used with any 2DIN radio. Read original post again. If you use the MOST capable radio, you can still choose what to keep or not keep when you program on the website.

Hey guys,

Does any one see any potential problems if I get the OEM Kicker up grade system w/ sub, speakers and amps from this thread......

https://www.f150forum.com/f37/ford-o...s-only-296905/

.....and then upgrade to a Kenwood unit when 12VGuys system is released?

Thanks for any input.
