Glad you got it figured out. Unless you have the CMOS-310/320 that's not even used for cameras. That's to power the switch that comes with the 310/320. It's not meant to power the camera proper.

I pulled the power for mine from the sync system. That way the cameras are on anytime the unit has power.

That would be a great little bit of information for Kenwood to include in their installation guide.

I've done worse though. I used to install serious competition systems. On page 25 of the quick start guide for the radio.

To CMOS-3xx series (Optional
Accessory) camera control

The Camera+ and camera- lines are for the outrageously expensive Kenwood CMOS line of cameras. Itallows the unit to comunicate with them. You can adjust the image (for front and rear), move the guidelines, etc. You can also change the camera view - Wide angle, normal, overhead, corner. So it is a communication bus.
I powered my front camera from the red wire on the head unit. It is tied to the accessory delay relay in the truck so whenever you can run the head unit, you can use the camera. The factory camera is only powered when the ignition is on.

are you talking about the idatalink F01 harness for the OEM rearview cam input? I've been searching endlessly how to hook up my Kenwood DNX rear view for factory backup camera.

Heel - I just paralleled its output into the Kenwood. The connector is behind the LH kick panel, near the E-Brake.

No it's in the 12 pin connector that was connected to the factory nav display. Assuming you had the factory nav. On her's the camera display was in the radio not the mirror. It wasn't used at all other than grabbing the camera wires out of it.

New here as well 2014 F150 XLT, 4.3 in screen: question about the Datalink Maestro k150 kit that was just installed with along with an Alpine Double Din ILX-207. Steering wheel controls are working after I left the shop then do not work the following day. They are hardwired to OBD2 according to the shop. Brought it back they flashed the Maestro, it worked again til the following day. back again They replaced both the maestro dash kit and control kit. worked great all the way home next day then again no steering controls or the climate control screen does not come on either while powered on . Any assistance is appreciated as the shop has no idea.
