I would think that features like SYNC or steering wheel controls would not work with an aftermarket stereo. The steering controls would need an input that they could plug into in the aftermarket radio. I have never seen that before. It would be best to ask the retailer if the new radio would work with the steering wheel controls in you truck.

You steering wheel controls will work with an aftermarket HU you just have to have an adapter.

Mine work. I had to buy a PAC SWI-PS controller to get it to work. The new HU will have to have an imput for the controls though.
