Default Location of aftermarket GPS Sat antenna

Has anyone here installed a aftermarket GPS unit on a 2011 - 2013?
Where did you mount your antenna? If outside of the truck, how did you route the satellite antenna wire? Did you go through the bed light?
I was looking somewhere online and I thought I saw Ford hide the factory antenna under that rubber mat on the top on the dashboard.
Any suggestions?

I put my aftermarket Sirius on the roof. Tried it under the mat and no signal. Imagine that would be the same for GPS.

My GPS antenna is mounted under the dash dish plate. It receives a pretty strong signal.
