personally i would go with a type R but if the guy above me gives you a good price on a 12w7 do it... the way they are constructed allows them to have more cone area then a normal 12 but still the same size as a 12... and they pound. i would do sealed personally but if you like bass do a ported box built to spec and you cant go wrong just make sure you get an amp that powers them without even coming close to the peak that way you have clean power not distorted power going to the sub. just a little hint to if your lights flicker with it... it looks funny but it means you need to reinforce your electrical system.... i have somewhere around 2300 amps of cold cranking power in my truck because im running around 1800 watts

if you want deep bass, it is really all in the box, i would go download a box calculator and whip up a dual slot ported box tuned to 40 hertz...that will give you some deep ass bass
