What am i looking for exactly when I start looking for this harness? is it by rear cab pillar on drivers side or the middle pillar? Is it a harness with a plug or wires taped off etc..? I assume it is speaker level not low pass level.

After you remove the rear drivers side pillar, at the bottom you will see a plug. Just plug the connection from the sub connection to that, the other plug to the sub, replace the pillar and you're done.

I had to use the external subwoofer option. Every time I would try to activate the kicker sub option it would just show "error".

I used the "not configured" option, number 0 IIRC. made a huge difference in the sub output.

In the plain English menu I've tried both auxiliary sub on with the 6 speaker option and I've tried both of those individually. There's got to be something in the manual settings that works.

Six shooter, did it make a big difference in sound quality? Mine is very overbearing on the bass to the point where I have to keep the bass setting almost all the way down and/or constant adjustment. Been considering taking it out and going another route.

I had the opposite problem. I was getting super weak signal.

I tried using the external sub and the external speaker options and was getting almost no signal. With the volume and bass turned to Max you could barely see the sub vibrate. But I tried the 0 value “not configured” and much improvement.

Also worth noting is that in the sound settings on my 4” base radio there is the optimization for driver or “optimize for all”. When set to driver the overall sound is better, but the bass is much weaker. Something you might try.

have tried all variations of the as built menu and plain english options. There's no signal going to the sub. It's getting power because the amp gets warm after a bit.
