Just finished installing it! And UNinstalling the component speakers lol!

They sound like **** compared to the stock with the amp. way to many highs and not enough mids with the kicker components. stock speakers sound much richer and are pleasant.

i am very happy with the quality of sound it is a good low end system that kicks good and can be felt in the seats more than you would expect. You cant tell anything is there unless you look for the woofer and everything was so easy no instructions are even needed. You can figure it out if you have some mechanical inclination. I just looked at the harnesses lined them up in the correct direction and figured it all out step by step. I found a online manual at crutchfield, if you think it will help. it doesnt give detailed instructions on certain areas someone who doesnt do this often would need. I think anyone that wanted the sony system but didnt get one will be happy with this replacement.

Is there a proven speaker that would work better than stock with this amp setup? I dont want to spend money on something that will perform like the kickers did. they had way to much highs no low to mids compared to the stock speakers. If the inifinity brand or JL brand will b e better let me know what model would be best or what is recommended to do. I am fine with the stock one just figure if i can get more with just simply bolting in some better speakers than why not? I just dont want it to sound worst like these kickers did! There is a big difference between stock on these. i changed them in and out within 15 minutes and back to back its a huge difference.

Before I got my sub I upgraded all 4 doors to Polk audio DB571 and that alone was a nice upgrade for very little $$.

Amazon.com : Polk Audio DB571 5-by-7-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair, Black) : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Polk Audio DB571 5-by-7-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair, Black) : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics

They sell two different versions, those are the marine rated, only reason I chose those over the non marine rated is because our doors are not at all sealed up to water intrusion either in a car wash or rain storm. Should last a very long time.

Ford accessory. I had to cut a bit off the side nearest the amp for it to fit, the sub box is now that sidewall.

I know I am resurrecting a very old thread. I apologize. But I tried to search and couldn’t find the answer.

I have a super super crew but I found this whole kit for $300 on Craigslist. Only issue is it came out of a super cab. Can I make this work for my super crew or will it not work?

It'll work, you'll just have to figure out a way to secure the sub box, on the scab like my truck it bolts to the rear seat frame, the screw it bolts to the floor. Seems odd to me as the screw has more room but a much smaller box. The wiring is identical.

Scab....

Screw....

You would think it would be the other way around.
