My buddy built this box as his first experiment and it turned out badass. there are 2 layers of mdf on the front thats how it was possible to drill out the kicker logo. He screwed and glued everything and then bedlinered it. The speakers are 8" kicker solobaric L7's 4 ohm running off a hifonics d class 1000 watt tied into ford sony sub wiring to the navigation unit so the bass is controled like factory. I got the grilles off ebay for $20/each. Im impressed it sounds perfect when listening to country or rock with the bass turned down but if you want you can knock the pictures off the wall if you are into that.

I know this is an older post, but are you still happy with this enclosure and the sub selection? Also, did you need a seat lift for this to work? I've been trying to measure out and determine the feasibility of a similar project.
I really want to do a forward firing enclosure with 8's but don't want to do a seat lift.
