You can still keep SYNC with the correct harness. Interested?

Thanks but I'm good. Going to avoid sync as I don't truly care for it, Bluetooth through stereo does everything I need. I'm hoping to find a way to keep the stock microphone and use that with the new unit, just haven't had the chance to look it up. Going to call Crutchfield to find out what aftermarket harness I need to plug into my stock harness. Haven't had luck looking online for just a basic 15 dollar wiring harness. Thanks again for the help!

Not sure exactly what your asking. The vehicle specific wiring harness simplifies the install....the Maestro unit is what integrates Sync and steering wheel controls into the aftermarket HU. Hope that helps.

If I already have the unit installed on my truck with a harness already there, do I need the other part of the maestro?

I was asking him if he wanted another harness that would let him keep SYNC. Maestro is not compatible with his HU

Do you know what vehicle specific wiring harness is compatiable with my truck ( 13 STX 5.0 V8 standard audio)? All the typical places of looking online don't list any. Maybe an older one like the metra 70-5520? I'm just going to get rid of sync so I'm looking for a 20 dollar harness.
